Frank and Michelle Cacciavillani started That Personal Touch Catering and The Franciscan in 1981. They have now been married for over 43 years! Frank has been working in the food industry most of his life beginning in his hometown of Assisi, Italy. From there he gained culinary experience traveling through Europe and spending time in France, Germany and England. After moving to the United States, he worked as a general manager for 20 years in Country Clubs here in Colorado.
Frank and Michelle started their catering business in the basement of their home. They both waited tables in their spare time using their tips earned to buy food to serve their catering customers. Their philosophy has always been to take care of their clients, serve high quality food and give them the best service possible. When you put the customer first, success will follow.
Working with Frank and Michelle is award winning Chef Susan Trujillo who has been with the company for over 16 years. Chef Susan has a Restaurant Arts Degree (student of the year in 1992) as well as a Culinary Degree (highest grade in the class of 1995.) She boasts three culinary competition awards including a silver medal for her original main entrée creation, a gold medal for her dessert creation, and during a food show competition sponsored by Philadelphia Cream Cheese, she was first place winner for her Gravlox Mousse.
